When we find ourselves in unpredictable situations, it’s natural to feel some fear. Our clever minds tend to run rampant with myriad horrific scenarios.
1. Recognize .
When you are worried or stressed out or unable to concentrate, pause. Identify what’s really wrong. (e.g. “I’m worried that….X, Y, Z.”)
2. Identify the real fear underlying your apparent concerns.
When you stop and think about, what are you really afraid of here? Keep asking “why?” until you get to the real reason (Hint: it is likely to come down to a fear of loss of love, security, and/or status).
