In this age of CGI, special effects, and monster budgets, let’s not forget that once upon a time a man had a dream, a big grove of orange trees in the middle of nowhere and a little cartoon mouse character. What he and his people did with tools like pencils, paintbrushes, voices and orchestras has never been surpassed, and the films still hold up today. (How many of last summer’s “blockbusters” can you say that about?) And Walt Disney’s pioneering of technology — still called Imagineering — made it part of the art. Sit back and enjoy a few minutes of video magic from a DaVinci extraordinaire.
